Clearly I have not been good about keeping journal entries at deviantArt....so.....here's another post.

A lot has happened since my last journal entry....including going to Anime Boston. It was certainly a new experience for me - I've never been to a convention before, let alone an anime convention. But it was fascinating. Everyone was dressed up in such wonderful costumes although, honestly, some of them were a little strange and/or...too revealing. But what I liked most was the Artist Alley, in which you could go and look at a lot of people's art for sale and talk to the artists themselves, most of whom were extremely kind and outgoing. I ended up spending A TON of money on art there - most of it was priced very well, and I enjoy having some good art to look at while I'm trying to draw/paint. Honestly, I had to remind myself that I needed to save money to buy food. Thank GOD I had already bought a train ticket, otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to get home.

Also, last night was my high school graduation. Wait. WHAT??? Yes, you heard. I'm a graduate. I cannot believe it....it was really sad for a little bit last night, but I don't think it's sunk in yet. It probably won't until...college haha. But as of right now, I am enjoying my time off, spending as much of it with friends as possible, though there are certainly still times when I get really sad about it. I loved my high school experience, and while I am really excited to go to college, I'm also scared as hell and know I will miss my friends and school dearly.

Anyways, all of these recent events have inspired me to draw A LOT. Like after Anime Boston, I just wanna draw. Like 24/7. But I know that as soon as I do, I'll be like "this isn't good" then I won't want to draw for a while. Because clearly, the amazing artists there make it seem SOOOOO easy. Ah well. I DO have like 3 or 4 pieces that I have yet to post so....additionally, I think I am going to try to do the comic book challenge next month....one page per day...we shall see
